Principal Certifying Authority

Building InspectionOnce you have obtained a Construction Certificate or Complying Development Certificate you need to appoint a PCA who will inspect the construction work at critical stages.

WHAT IS THE PRINCIPAL CERTIFYING AUTHORITY (PCA)?

The PCA undertakes the critical stage inspections of the building project and will assess compliance with the approved plans. The PCA is also responsible for determining whether an Occupation Certificate can be issued to enable the building to be occupied. The PCA can be the Accredited Certifier who issued the Construction Certificate or another Accredited Certifier.
